 Adoption

The adoption donation for puppies & adults is $450. The donation for seniors is determined based on the specific circumstances. Kittens and Cats have a $150 adoption donation.

Our foster families give us all of the information we need in order for us to determine what type of family is the most compatible for each animal. Our first priority is to the animals in our rescue. Our goal is to place each animal into the best home for him or her. We are their voice.

Once we receive your Adoption Application, you will be notified by e-mail or phone that your application has been received. If you have submitted an application and do not receive an initial confirmation within 48 hours, please contact us wofarinc@gmail.com

The first step in the adoption process is a phone call from one of our volunteers. They will call you and conduct a telephone interview with you to review your application and answer any questions you may have. The volunteer will then check all of your references. Once this step is completed and you are approved for the next step, you will receive a call from another one of our volunteers to schedule a home visit. This gives us a chance to meet with you and your family and determine if in fact your home is “right” for one of our animals. We require that all family members be present during the home visit so we can all get a feel for the environment in its entirety; all adults, kids, and pets.

Once the home visit is completed, we will contact you and let you know if you are an “Approved Home”. If you are approved, you will be contacted again by the foster family that has the animal that you have chosen and have been matched with. At that time, you and the foster family can discuss the particulars of the animal. Please ask any and all questions you have. There is no better source than the foster family to find out information about the animal you have been matched with and to confirm that you are a good match for the animal. After the telephone call, you and the foster family will set a time and place for you to meet the animal. If all goes well at the meeting, the final application approval will be done by our Board of Directors. Upon approval the adoption contract and fecal rider will be provided to you and we will ask that you provide the signed copies and the donation fee when the foster family meets you one last time to deliver your new family member. All that is left is for you and your new family member to live happily ever after!
